I’ve made a new video for the song Willowwacks. This involved me filming whilst riding the Maglev at Birmingham Airport back and forth consecutively until security staff made me feel too paranoid to continue. Check it out!

Would like to say another big thanks to Mark Ryan for the continued support on his Amazing beats show on Amazing Digital radio, live every Friday night from 7pm. Especially liked it when he said he was listening to Little Bird on headphones and kept turning around to see where one of the noises was coming from….I think he was referring to the sound of a rattling gate I recorded out in the countryside. Also, another thank you for Dani Charlton for playing Willowwacks on her Saturday daytime show (every week from 1pm) also on Amazing radio.
This is a new song based on one of Lisa’s originals. Not a remix, maybe you could call it more of a reworking. I dunno, sounds quite nice though. First song with vocals (not THE first song ever with vocals, that of course was the Shoop Shoop song by Cher).
I’ve been kindly featured as Amazing Instore’s very first artist of the week on their blog which you can read here.
Willowwacks has been made track of the week on the Amazing Beats show, home to some of the best emerging and established dance music around. With all kinds of genres covered, it is a mighty fine listen and goes out live every Friday evening from 7pm on Amazing Radio.
I’m really looking forward to playing this event for the Nottingham based homeless charity Framework. To celebrate 10 years of working with the homeless and to raise awareness and much needed funds (although admission is free), Framework are putting on a weekend of contemporary live and electronic music at Nottingham Contemporary art gallery on the 8th-9th October. The line up looks great with so many exciting artists to check out. I’m playing on the Saturday.
Kino 10, promoters of amazing short film/animation nights, will be curating two days of inspiring films and musical oddities as part of Birmingham’s Artsfest, on September 10th-11th. On the Sunday, my video for Hippocampus is being screened in a section on Birmingham music videos at The Crescent Theatre from 5pm.
I’m playing at the Hare and Hounds in Kingsheath next Saturday, 27th August. It’s an enticing line up with Juneau Brothers, purveyors of wonky pop songs from homemade MIDI gizmos headlining. Papa November, Glatze and Flumpophone and Posh One are also on the bill.
